Old people's Bebo!!!!

Post: # 130036Post invisiblepiper »

Had to share this - I have just overheard my 17 year old talking to her friend. When asked what I was doing on the computer - she replied ' Oh its Mum's old people's Bebo for green fingered folk!' could be worse.

Ooohhh - does this mean we are trendy at last?
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

LOL it's funny how all these kids always think places like Bebo, Myspace and Facebook are kid / teen only zones when about half of the profiles are middle ages people and up these days too!

That's the fun of being old - they don't realise that we are as with it as they are

I love Facebook. I've met up with so many old friends and being hundreds of miles from most of them I can have live chats and keep up to date.

I was kicked off Facebook because I chose to keep my identity private (ish) - I used my wildgarlic persona (from Neeps) and they didn't like it. Oh well.

 'S funny how our perceptions of age change over the years.....

When I was 5 or 6 , I asked my Mum if she wore crinoline dresses & rode a penny farthing bike when she was a young woman....... she was a young mum, & would have been just 22 - 23 at the time.... oops!

Now I'm 47, I still feel like a kid at times (most of the time) and was aksed by the 4 year old worldly wise granddaughter if I used to have a dinosaur as a pet...... " you know nanny, before dogs were invented...."

Julie.... old... grey..... crying in the corner.....
The more people I meet, the more I like my garden
