Hi Russian Doll
Can't help with the knitting I'm afraid but saw the horse bit and wondered if you could use a fleecy blanket with a big horse on it. Single bed. My daughter loved it when she was little. Scares the hell out of me. I found it in the back of the airing cupboard only this weekend and washed it. If you're interested you can email me your address and maybe send me a little something by way of a swap - as long as it has nothing to do with horses I'm easy!

Hi Russian Doll,
I would be happy to knit the pattern for you. I am always looking for something to knit or someone to knit for.
The only problem is that I am in NZ not the UK so getting it to you would cost a bit.
Let me know if you are interested. If I started soon I could probably finish by Christmas if that is what you wanted it for but I can't guarantee it.

Hi - can't knit - but having had two horse daft daughters - may I follow Green Aura's idea and see if I have any good quality horsey stuff left in the house?
Will PM you with a list next week. ( Busy this weekend).

I don't mind at all.
I can get wool here too. That might work out cheaper than posting it, unless you already have the wool.
Let me know when you have decided.
