HI everybody!!
thought this might be useful with Christmas coming up!!!!
Selfsufficientish.com, in conjunction with Andy Hamilton, are giving away free hoax emails. Selfsufficientish are trying a word-of-mouth Hoaxing to introduce its people who are a bit bored in the office to the chain email.
To receive your Hoax by e-mail all you have to do is send this e-mail out to 80 people (for one chain email) or 200 people (for really annoying all of your friends). Within 2 weeks your e-mail will be in the hands of all the spam email senders and dodgy folk on the internet. Your email will also be blocked by most of your friends and family who will see you as forwarding pest.
They won't contact you through your e-mail and might even stop contacting you by telephone, you will become alienated and depressed for the sake of the elusive chance of something for nothing. Rather than learn by this mistake and slowly starting to rebuild your life. you will continue to send out emails with half baked promotions or sappy sentiments on them, causing 1000's of lost man hours across the world and using up vast amounts of computing power. Your friends and family will up the ante and will not only stop contacting you but will start court action against you. You will die a lonely and miserable death knowing that you have been the cause of great strife to many people.
Please forward this to everyone who forwards emails and no-one else.

Chain emails
I get fed up of not hearing from mates than getting a silly chain email from them, the impetus being greed. Anyway I satirized a response from the last one and thought it worth sharing.

Re: Chain emails
Harsh, but I could see a use for it. I'm particularly pleased (and a little saddened) to note I'm not the only one who has these 'friends', who never contact just send me this sh!t.
Same as getting a round robin letter in a christmas card from people who don't care if you've died in reality. Could you compose a similar missive to print out and send to them?

Re: Chain emails
Another type of friend that annoys me are those who send me a long e-mail about twice a year, in which they always complain loudly that they haven't heard from me for ages... Well, I always respond to their e-mails straight away - and then don't hear from them for another 6 months!

Re: Chain emails
You are soo spot on. I hate the ones that use emotional blackmail to try to force you to forward messages or else you must be a completely heartless barsteward. I hate that I have friends who think that by forwarding them they are somehow making the world a better place.

Re: Chain emails
And then there are the ones that try to justify why they send chain e-mails just so that the sender can prove that they are thinking of you!
I never forward on any e-mail that contains the words "if you don't forward on this e-mail to at least a million people something horrendous with happen to you" or any similar variant.
If the rest of the e-mail is funny enough then I take those bits out and only forward on to a select group of close friends who will appreciate it.

I'm just sad that Andy missed the opportunity of introducing the talking fart concept to the world.

and I've been trying to peddle the fart concept to various places around the web so you never know, it might take off.

Re: Chain emails
I sent a chainmail back to it's originators as it threatened me with bad luck if I didn't pass it on with an extremely ranty response & signed it from a really p*ssed off Witch who is tired of threatening chain e-mails
