I'm not dyspraxic, but as dyslexia is closely linked my educatonal psychologist said she wasn't sure what to put me down as... but it seems once I had all the tests done I came out with one more point in favour of dyslexia rather than dyspraxia.
I blame my clumsyness on my tiny tiny feet and huge huge bum and boobs lol!

OUch, ouch ouch! Much sympathy for all accident prone people. Although, am I the only one who had to chuckle a couple of times before the serious sympathy set in? I had a what happened moment when I was pregnant, nearly 2 years ago. One minute I was at the top the stairs, next minute at the bottom, slid the entire way on my bum and one elbow judging by the injuries. I still have a scar on my elbow from what I can only describe as an extremely deep bruise as there was never any blood. Am also currently having physio on base of spine which is still giving me jip, nothing severe its just every time I clench my buttocks its like I'm still pressing on a big bruise!
And, yes that duplo is the cause of much swearing, even worse is the playmobil which actually breaks underfoot. Also had a yelping moment the other day when i rammed my feet into my wellies only to discover a collection of fridge magnets in the toe!

Oh laugh away... I could hardly keep a straight face trying to explain it all to JohnM.
Himself : How did you fall?
Me: I don't know.
Himself : How did you end up facing the other way?
Me: I don't know.
Himself: How did you manage to get bruises on every part of your body?
Me: I don't know.
I am doing fine, had difficulty getting to sleep because of all the bruises... I am taking arnica (my spell check corrects it as - arsenic, carnival, fornicate or harmonica - which sounds like a much more fun filled afternoon) and also ibuprofen, for a separate thing (itchy stabbing pain in the head - self diagnosed as a kind of a headachey thingy)
I cycled down to Mums and Tots this morning though, so not so bad... naturally I gave myself a couple of pedal height bruises to match.
Thanks for all the vibes.

Yep, now and then. Hope you're feeling better. Will be sending you healthy thoughts!

That cracked me up! Great nickname! I was also covered in bruses as a child, mum had the GP look sideways at her a number of times.sleepyowl wrote: I was nicknamed Robert the Bruise at that age.
When I was fifteen i managed to jump on the metal fixing of the whirly washing line (the sort of cup part that stays in the groung when you take the washing line out?) in my barefeet and ended up in A&E with 5 stitches in the ball of my foot. the scar still itches sometimes to this day.

Glad to hear you're feeling better Annpan. At least at Mum and Tot you're not having to try justifying why tot is covered in bruises which i seem to have to do every week - especially at the group run by the health visitors!

Re: ever wondered....'what just happened'???
Hope you are feeling better Ann, but amidst all the bruises, the thing that rings alarm bells is the way you seem to know so little about it - do you think you may have blanked out for a moment? That and the unusual headache may indicate something of more concern. I am no kind of expert but you know your own body and if you think there is anything out of the ordinary you may want to consider getting some better advice.
Sorry, I am sure I have just mis-interpreted what you wrote but I would hate to think I hadn't, and said nothing, if you see what I mean. I'll shut up now.

Thanks for your concern but no, I didn't blank out. I don't have many falls, I have never blanked out, never fainted, in general a fairly un-accident-prone person (I do have lots of bruises on my lower legs from either walking into the steps in my tiny kitchen or whacking myself with the pedals on my bike

I have a toddler in the house, and if only for her safety, believe me, if I thought it was something more serious I would have it checked out immediately.
I was trying to decipher the bruises tonight, how I must have landed on my side but rolled onto my back.

Thanks again for your kind thoughts

Ann Pan
