looking for a book title

Post: # 118673Post mrsflibble »

sorry, but you're all my last hopes hahaha!
I can't remember the title of the book,. nor can any of my brothers or sister, nor can our mum. it starts off with two animals on two hills fighing and shouting at eachother, then throwing things at eachother. it ends up with them making friends and building a house out of the cr4p they'd throuwn at eachother... I think. I'm fairly sure one of them was a rhino.
no I didn't dream this, no I am not stoned. if I was I could probably remember what the title is!!!
please help!!!

It kind of sounds, but not exactly, like a lovely book I have called "Two Monsters" by David McKee. Have a look here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Monsters-Mini-T ... 0099220121
The two monsters live on opposite sides of a mountain and talk to each other through a hole in it, but they have never seen each other. Then an argument breaks out because one of them says something like "Isn't it beautiful? Day is departing" and the other one says "That's night arriving you twit". Something like that :? The insults grow bigger and bigger and they throw stones at each other, completely missing each other but smashing the mountain to pieces. When they finally smash the last bit of the mountain down they see each other for the first time, and also see each others point of view (night arriving/day departing). It's really a rather funny little book. Is that the one?

You bandy legged, soggy cornflake
You lily livered, custard tart.

 No I'm not calling you that  That's an example of the type of insults the monsters shout at each other
