After an enforced absence of nine days (courtesy of BT) I've finally had my Internet connection restored and I'M BACK!!!. That's really good service, don't you think? I've been feeling like my right arm had dropped off.

Anyway, please don't feel that you have to effuse over my return ... no, no, really, don't even think of it. No, I insist .... ohhhh .

Now to get down to the gossip I've missed.

Glad BT managed to get that sorted.

I'm also glad to report that the German equivalent to BT is in no way better. (Germans efficient? Ha! )

A (temporary) German colleague has just told me about his struggles to make them set his connection and bill right... Meanwhile, he is being charged for a family that lives in a different town, plus receives bills for yet another family in yet another town (but doesn't get charged for it). Worthy of BT, this stuff! Phonecalls, of course, achieve nothing.
