I had the enamel come off the front of some of my teeth a while back. The dentist injected me in the cheek but not the gum, he was busy dealing with a private patient at the same time who of course got better treatment. He started to drill away and I was not under any anesthetic, he was drilling right onto the raw nerve. That hurt a bit and kept me away from dentists for about 8 years! I have had to go back a few times since and to be frank it is much, much easier as I tell every new dentist that story and they never have done it again. That dentist has been struck off now for negligence.

Believe me fee if I can go back after that then really you should be fine.

I've got my fingers crossed it will all be ok...

I've had so much trouble with dentists because i metabolise the anaesthetic too quickly. When i had the surgery, the consultant timed the anaesthetic. Its supposed to take 15 minutes to work, but after 20 minutes the whole thing had worn off!
