Five smiles a day! :)

Post: # 117395Post Milims »

Inspired by Mr & Mrs Luvpie and A N Other I thought it would be a good idea to share (at least) 5 things a day that have made us smile - no matter how small - a bit like counting your blessings. SO here goes the first 5 - feel free to follow suit!

1 Being able to start this thread
2 Coming home from work this afternoon to find that Chris had made me the most yummy wrap sarnie with cajun spiced grilled chicken and salad
3 Driving to the Newcastle to deliver a very large hand made rug as a donation to a museum so that everyone can share it's loveliness
4 Calling at T***o ( ) on the way home and getting 2 half price organic chickens - bargain!
5 Reading all about you lovely peeps on a daily basis
6 - just to show it's ok to overflow a little - my lovely family :love4:
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

1) sitting out in the back garden last night &
2)sipping a cold tinnie
3listening to the church bells(as the campanologists practised)
4)listening to our new home-made water feature, babbling away
5)watching our local colony of Long Eared Brown Bats, hunting insects.
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.

What a fab idea!

1. Reading Mr & Mrs Luvpie's post

2. Reading this post and realising that the luv has spread :flower:

3. Sitting on the sofa with my loved ones this evening and looking through cookery books planning the food we want to eat over the coming days.

4. Smelling the home made bread wafting through from the kitchen.

5. Watching the bats flit about outside this evening.

And finally - and because it's just happened... lol - watching the dogs face. She was lying down on her rug and J's train was unintentionally hidden under it. It made a strange chugging noise, the dog looked at me... I looked at the dog... and I swear that if she was capable of bursting out laughing she would have done. She wagged her tail instead and I laughed (which increased the intensity of the wag!)

3 My other friend who I haven't seen for a while is going to come - and bring her new fella and her poi!
4 We are about to sit down to roast chicken and veg - all organic and reduced to clear in T**co last night!
5 We've won a Kenwood Chef on freecycle - so now Chris will be able to make bread in it!

1. Being offered several pounds of raspberries form my neighbour
2 Finding a raspberry on my teeny weeny raspberry bushes that I only put in in May - and munching it then and there.
3. My neighbour kindly relieving me of 5 of my courgettes ( I still have 4 growing and 3/4 of a 7lb marrow from last week)
4. Knowing it is the weekend and it's farmers market tommorrow (we have missed the last 3 and only get one a month)
5. Seeing a beautiful full bow rainbow over my house in the last (of many) sporadic shower of the day.
