Lovely! Really beautiful. Reminds me of an artist who makes cabinets out of old chopping boards & cutlery! Can't think of his name but his pieces sell for lots & lots!
Well done

The hinge pins are just some big rusty old nails I raked out of the fire. Was initially going to shorten them to a sensible length but then decided to leave them as they are.

Minesapint you are very very clever and talented!
Rattty - I just checked out the web site - it is awesome! His stuff is soooooo beautiful! I want want want! I always wanted to have a kitchen made out of wine boxes with cutlery for handles - but I'm just not that talented!

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free

It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Nice work! It's inspiring.
But I'm really confused as to what I'm looking at. Are these doors to cupboards recessed into the walls or are they skinny cupboards? And is yours a very old house with nooks for stuffing Catholic priests into? Do explain please.

Re: Pair of matching rustic cupboards.
Thanks for the favourable comments. Have not had chance to respond until now as have been horrendously busy!
The cupboards are just skinny, protruding only 5 inches from the wall. All that is in them are holes in the wall which in fact are high level vents for the open fire in the room. I am able to control the amount of ventilation by opening/closing the doors.
Another view showing dovetailed corners and adjustable opener.
