My perfect day would be to really work fantasticly well in the garden all morning, ticking lots of jobs to do boxes and not getting back ache. Or maybe to write something truely wondeful. Then pottering in the afternoon visiting friends or walking along the beach. I'd like to get tarted up for the evening and go to the cinema or with OH for a lovely meal.
Some days I manage 1 or 2 of the above but wouldn;t it be great to have a perfect day?
What would you do?

Re: My Perfect Day
Actually Wednesday was a pretty near perfect day for me. My husband and I had brunch with rum cocktails (as we both had the day off together), then a friend came over, we went to the allotment and did lots of productive and fun things there, it was beautifully sunny and hot, then we went home, made up big jugs of mojitos, sat in the garden chatting and lots of other friends stopped by throughout the evening. To top it all off, I spent hours in the sun and didn't get the slightest bit sunburnt, so that really made it perfect! (as well as not having a hangover the next day!)

Re: My Perfect Day
it'd be a warm day, I'd get up (woken naturally not by two year old lol!) adn have a leisurely day with a brekfast of bacon and french toast made by my hubby (the master of french toast). I'd potter in the garden or maybe make something for sophie who would inexplicably not be a whiney little moo for the whole day. then in the evening we'd all get dressed up and go to our fave restaurant which is The Jasmine Garden in Leigh. We'd stuff ourselves silly, not panic about the bill, then we'd go home, put soph in bed, have some cuddly nookie (sorry guys, you asked!!!) and go to sleep.
actually this is pretty much what happened on Mother's Day this year :D

Re: My Perfect Day
I had a perfect day yesterday, the sun was shining and my girls were in the paddling pool, after hanging out the washing I collected the eggs and picked some cucumbers and lettuce for lunch.Made some bread, weeded the patch, deadheaded the hanging baskets, tidyed the shed, cleaned the house, paddled in the pool and then when hubby got in we had a glass of wine and he cooked on the BBQ for all of us then when the girls went to bed I had a long soak in the bath...........
Grow it,make it ,eat it, drink it and sleep well!

Re: My Perfect Day
enjoy a nice morning walk after a lovely breakfast made out of homemade muesli with turkish yoghurt and toast with marmelade, washed down with a pot of tea.
fix the sourdough dough for the day before I head out.
sunshine on my face, sit at the river enjoying the scenery and then walk back home.
after doing the neccessary chores, pick up my flute and play for an hour (or longer) without breaks.
in the afternoon sneak on the sofa with a real good book, a huge pot of tea and something lovely on the side....
in the evening go dine out, four courses with wines and waggle home again and drop in bed :)
or spend the afternoon in the sauna, have dinner there in the restaurant at the place and go home completely relaxed.

I'd love to add some gardening or stuff but unfortunately that is not happening yet :)
