My faith in the internet restored!!!
I want a specific pattern for soph's winter coat, I looked up the shape and the pattern is from the late '60s. The only ones for ale on the web at the moment are for 8 year olds. I stuck a message on the kid's clothes section of craftster saying I'd been looking for this pattern number etcetc and I was becomming disillusioned with the whole idea of making her a coat. Lo and behold a lady from Texas has pm'd me to say she's got the exact pattern I want, un cut, in soph's size, from 1970 which she's willing to send to me (along with some wintergreen altoids and some hidden valley ranch dressing powder) in return for some british sweets and "something interesting" lol!!!
what do I put in the box?!
so far i'm planning for the "something interesting" I'm going to put in a small jar of Marmite, and a small jar of Bovril with instructions on how to eat them.
Sweets:
galaxy (got to be done)
clarnico mints
some Asda 3 for £1 sweets
sesame snaps
hobnobs
??? what else would be good? something very british preferably lol!

I'll get some tomorrow. I'm having a "jammies" day today. This is the first proper "jammies" day jima dn I have had since sophwas born. James is on the playstation, I'm sat in the other room, watching on demand TV on the intarweb, crocheting a cardigan for squidge and she is flitting betwen the two of us.
