Post: # 11159Post The Chili Monster »

Hi all

would like to attempt to make chili chocolate bars ... but haven't a clue how to make chocolate.
All tips gratefully received.

Oh yes chilli chocolate is good stuff. Some people swear by putting chilli in hot chocolate too.

I think there is a scottish company that makes organic chilli chocolate can't think of the name though.

Would be useful in Mexican cooking, I admit - they put chocolate and chili in some of their sauces...

It really brings out the taste of the chocolate - do you mean http://www.cocochocolate.co.uk/produce.htm Andy??

When I do get my shop - one day I hope... I want to stock this

Chili and chocolate go really well together... and I made a scrummy mole sauce for a party one time - it was quite spicy and had chocolate in it too.

That's the Mexican sauce I was thinking of - they use it for chicken, don't they?

Anyway, that chocolate looks interesting, but the flavours  ! Tobacco! Rose and pink pepper with cinnamon! A bit OTT, if you ask me... And they don't say what weight their chocolate bars are. If they are the usual 100g, £3.95 is a bit dear, I think.

I know I'll probably upset somebody by saying this - but may I have my chocolate without the chili, please? :?
