1. Jybson (my OH) - because he was in Byker Grove (although not technically 'famous')
2. Ant McPartlin - so I can watch him and Jybson reminiscing about their school days together (and arguing about who was the first to get Superman wallpaper)
3.Dave Grohl - because he is a musical 'god'.
4. Derren Brown - so he could totally freak everyone out.
5. Jason Vale (the juicemaster) - so we can laugh at his entertaining observations about the psychology of food addiction.
6. Jordan - because there's no other women on my list and she can give as good as she gets.

Re: Fantasy dinner party
Having met a few Famous people in my work, I found them on the whole, not very interesting people. So I would rather sit and eat with folk who have done something to better the lives of others less fortunate than themselves. However one famous person that I met and would invite to a dinner Party was Christopher Reeves

I haven't met any 'real, live' famous people but have worked with a lot of people who have done a lot of things to better the lives of less fortunate people, and you are right, they are fantastic people - kind, wise, funny, serious, considerate, accepting, and extremely interesting.I would rather sit and eat with folk who have done something to better the lives of others less fortunate than themselves

Re: Fantasy dinner party
With you all the way, but think of the chemistry. Not all famous people are uninteresting, not at least if they have a foil.oldfella wrote:Having met a few Famous people in my work, I found them on the whole, not very interesting people. A done something to better the lives of others less fortunate than themselves dinner list, I will stick with the living:
Ummm ... it is a hard one.
Bob Geldoph
Jimmy Saville
Bill Gates
Didier Drogba
Satish Sekar
Stuck.....
I could give you a list of people I know that no one has ever heard of, but I am pushed to think of a list that extends beyond my kitchen table.
I am a people watcher, so although famous people may be a bit plain, there is still an opportunity to mix it up and get them out of their shells, and have an interesting evening... as said I would rather spend an evening with my best friends, my partner is already invited.
So may I extend the banquet to include our selection of best friends, as after all, if a tree falls in the forest etc.
dinner party three (dinner party two was a dead loss for entertainment):
Another night
Tracey Emmin
Brian Sewell
Ian Banks
Stephen Hawkins
Niel Armstrong
Linda Lovelace

Anyone who invited me and Dave would end up with a massive alcohol bill!

You haven't seen the size of my cellar or for that matter the numerous different brews of embalming fluids, homemade, or otherwise that we keep down there, So young fella's come and see us and show us what you are made of,Andy Hamilton wrote:Anyone who invited me and Dave would end up with a massive alcohol bill!
