Re: 10 things I've done that you probably haven't
As I'm a newbie I have a lot of catching up to do, so I thought I'd better just post all 20 straight off, even though it's taken me an hour to think of them all!
And I'm sorry, I really have had to scrape the barrel here.
1) I sat on Reggie Krays knee when I was four. (don't ask!)
2) Played with a lioness and her two cubs in their enclosure.
3) Survived double pneumonia and blood clots on lungs at the same time, without the help of antibiotics or a doctor, my OH thought I had a cold and just needed to sleep.
4) Won the Inner London Silver Fencing medal when I was 14.
5) Circumvented my first (and last) security alarm when I was 15.
6) Hand fed an Adder (yep the snake) until the RSPCA could find a man brave enough to take it away. (My Mum was having kittens as I was only 8 at the time!)
7) Got a 6 inch splinter in my bottom while playing in the school play ground.
8) Travelled Europe in a Skoda, before they got cool!
9) Had the 'Only Fools and Horses' van for my wedding car.
The passenger door stuck and I had to climb in the back.
On the way to the reception we passed another wedding party in a stretch white limo that had broken down!
10) My current car is a Reliant Robin.
11) Yelled 'Catch' as I gave the last push to deliver my daughter, with the midwife nearly dropping the baby as she had to step over my unconscious husband on the floor!
12) Served Edwina Curry when she popped in to the supermarket where I worked, and got a round of applause from the other staff when she left.
(And yes, she did say; "Do you know who I am?", twice!)
13) Made a cup of tea for Lord Sainsbury, a real gentleman.
14) Went to the cinema with Jimmy Saville, for the life of me I can't remember what film we watched now.
15) Was stood-up by Rod Stewart.
16) I was a Goth back in the '70's before the term had even been coined.
17) I proposed to my current husband, on bended knee, in the middle of a crowded Chinese restaurant, on leap year, only to be told I'd get my answer after Eastenders had finished!
(Thankfully he doesn't watch it any more or I think I might have taken the proposal back!
)
18) I have been given 3 'expiry dates' by doctors, and have out lived all of them!
19) Rode my first roller coaster when I was 44, against doctors advice, and loved it so much I went on nine more within a week. (You gotta love Florida!
)
20) Got kicked out of Girl Guides for being too adventurous.
Phew, thank heavens that's over! Reading it over it makes a pretty scary list.

4) I made a wood burning stove out of an empty calor gas bottle
5) Poured red paint over a woman who was wearing a fur coat
6) Drank 12 cans of Special Brew one Christmas

7) Walked over hot coals
8) Asked Howard Marks to sign my "Say no to Drugs" Frisbee and he obliged
9) Got paid a lot of money for being unfairly sacked
10) Fainted whist doing my reading test (and it was genuine)

21. did some explicit embroidery currently on show on craftster's needlework section. it's in the needlework's hot new projects area too lol!!
when I say explicit I mean gratuitously, completely, horrifically explicit so do not click the link if you are easily shocked, at work, or with children.
photos are not included in the body of the post, but there are picture links to take you to my darling piece of work.
