2) Been hit in the head by a surf board fin (attached to a surf board) and not suffered any ill effects at all except a broken fin.
3) Worked in 3 different music retail chains.
4) Represented myself at an employment tribunal and won.
5) Met Mark Little at a Queens of the Stoneage gig.
6) Been a live sound engineer.
7) Worked in a milkshake shop.
8) Had to have a 3 day stay in hospital because of a nosebleed
9) Surfed amongst seals.
10) Spent more time than is probably healthy pondering on why you can't buy tea cozies anywhere anymore. The only one I've found is in John Lewis and is £12 which seems a little steep to me! Surely people still need them...

I have done some of what you guys have done, or similar!

1. I worked for Whitesnake and David Coverdale came into my house and had a cuppa with my mum.

2. I swallowed a gold crown and spent the next 4 days pooing into a plastic bag which I had to squidge to try to find it. I didn't and had to pay a fortune to have a new one!

3. I have no mortgage and am debt free too.

4. Got stung by a jellyfish in Malaysia whilst swimming in the safe jellyfish free area behind netting - I thought I was going to die  and went to report to the staff who just laughed, put something on it and said it'll only sting for an hour!

5. I climbed Ayers Rock with the guy who ran the Youth Hostel on the Isle of Skye at the time.

6. I can count to 10 in Welsh.

7. I can say "where's the loo" in both a polite and a very impolite way in Fijian.

8. I one spent the best part of 4 (or maybe 5) days on a Greyhound bus trying to get from Darwin to Perth via the coastal route in the wet season, only to have to turn around and go back to Darwin, then get to Perth via Alice Springs, Adelaide and the Nullabor Plain. I had one night's sleep in a hostel during all that time.

9. I got married in Las Vegas

10. I can swear in Greek.

I've done some of the same things - including being stung by a jellyfish and having sucker marks on my arm for a week!

however:

1 witnessed a total eclipse of the sun at my own home (last house) and saw the chickens go to bed as it had gone dark.. only to have to come back out again a few minutes later.

2 Saw the sun set in Snowdonia, twice in the same evening. Watched it go down behind the mountains.. then legged it backwards and watched it again.

3 eaten snails, frogslegs, sharks fin soup (I dont approve but was at a Cantonese wedding), raw sea urchin, tripe and crocodile. I would have the sea urchin again and leave the rest!
4 (with my family) drove coast to coast across USA
5 sailed to the Isles of Scilly in a yacht during a gale (never again )
6 played on stage, miked up, at the first folk festival I ever attended (I was conned by the rest of my team..)
7 I have a favourite mug that my cousin bought me when we were kids, with my name on it. I have been using it for about 30 years....
8 woke up once to find a bat flying round the room and after establishing it would not find the window by itself, had to catch it and throw it out.
9 I know how to ask 'do you need the loo?' and sing 'twinkle twinkle little star, in makaton
10 converted a transit van into a camper van, with beds for 3, kitchen area, loo, cooker, cupboards and windows.

I like like minded people... a bit like minded anyway.. well people with bits of their minds that are like the bits of my mind that I like...
