a private detective would probably be the most effectacious, and would also supply much more information that a tracking device. Problem with GPS is that it has to transmit, which means batteries, and a network to collect the information. A mobile phone (which of course needs to be charged etc) is the smallest you are going to get unless you're a government agency.

I realise that this is a mute point now, but that's my two cents. Best tracking device is a person assigned to the task, sadly not a cheap option. Good luck.

Well, the weekend we were sure she was planning to run has come and gone, and munchkin is still here. Huge sighs of relief here. We're still concerned because she still seems to be preparing, but for now I'm happy to put off the chase for a few days.
