Blumin' Nora.... just be secure in the fact that she was probably mortally embarrassed and you held the high ground.

In a car park at the beach last weekend, while I was sitting in the passenger seat with E (20 months) on my knee, putting sun cream on her. A women got into the car beside us throwing the door open and hitting our car -
she said "Oh sorry, I've hit your car"
then checked and said "its just mine that's marked yours is fine"
I nodded and OH was on his way round to have a look when she lent down and shouted to me
"Oh for Gods sake, It my car that's damaged not yours, there's no need to give me that look, like I have hit your car, God, some people"

Then she sped away leaving both OH and I perplexed and E abit shaken up...

Some people huh
I am sure she was just embarrassed and angry at herself... but what a way to behave in a 'civilised' society.

Grrrr some people!!!!

Reminds me of a similar occasion in Bath a few years back... really irritated me at the time but I'm glad that I stood my ground.

Chances are that she just can't park without the extra space (shuffles off quietly cos I'm not that good at that either  :flower: )

Had an accident in the car park few weeks back, waited for the owners to come back, apologised, and exchanged details, two weeks later Captain Gendarme called on me and thanked me on behalf of his Parents and left a case of wine as a thank you from himself.
I can't do great things, so I do little things with love.

I am reminded of a biblical quotation: "Cast thy bread upon the waters and it will return to thee one thousand fold." I think that's roughly it any way; nice to see that it even works that way sometimes. :flower:

Best one I had was when I was heavily pregnant and I WAS very heavily pregnant I was HUGE!! Well after 2 times of coming back to my car and not being able to get in (and bawling my eyes out.....ruddy hormones) I used the parent & child car space. A guy & his wife in a big 4 x 4 screamed at me over the car park "I hope you have a child in that car". I mean at this point I was waddling I shouted back er what's this!! I keep getting trapped out of my car so I can't use a normal space...he rolled his eyes at me grrr

It really bugs me when people use those spaces and don't have kiddos OR have like a 10yr old I mean really they don't need the space when they are that age.

big up for my local asdas on this point, they actually fine people now for parking in p+c spaces with no child. Disabled spaces require a badge too otherwise it's an £80 fine. Basildon Eastgate however don't seem to do anything. doesn't stop me loudly complaining though.
oh how I love my tea, tea in the afternoon. I can't do without it, and I think I'll have another cup very

Its one of my pet peeves too. I'd definitely complain at Customer Services, making sure the registration number has been noted down too
