Hey that's a good idea, only problem is that we don't have a thread going at the moment about quizzes, (or at least I haven't seen one) so you might need to go and have that idea in a thread about quizzes... :?

You work out a practicable way of doing it and I'll be glad to help out.

Put up a set of 10 questions, everyone has to PM the answers to the quiz master, the results are announced...

There's that regular pub quiz on Spiegel International - don't know how they do it, but I managed to score full points yesterday - because they let you go back and try again! Well, I did get at least 6 of them right, anyway.

Here's a few samples:

Go on then ... here's a test question...

Which English captain toured Australia and yet never played in a single test match?

Wombat with a cricket bat? Although it's probably more like which Australian captain is touring England/Scotland at the moment and certainly not playing cricket??

Is this a trick question? I'm quite tempted to say Captain Cook...

the beeb on their news webbie do two online weekly quizzes - both on Friday (one is found in Magazine, and the other in World). Didn't do very well last week.
So, me not very good at pub quizzes.
OH - he was on a quiz show, though that was when he was a child! I wanted to be on "Beat the Teacher" and even put that as a suggestion when in first year of secondary school!
