I took on the credit card company and won!

Ages ago I paid off my credit card at the amount shown on the balance, and somehow I over paid by Â£18. I called them again today and requested that they pay the balance into my bank acount - it's about the 3rd time I've asked them to. The man was very nice and (finally) sorted it out and told me that the payment would be in my bank account by lunch time tomorrow. Then I pointed out that if I'd made my payment late they would charge me Â£12 and asked if I could charge them Â£12 for making a late payment to me - and he said yes!!

I wonder if i can do that with mine - i've been Â£1.12 in creadit for ages and they still haven't given it back to me...they either want me to pay more so tha they'll write a cheque, or to agree to put it in a charity account...

I want my Â£1.12...

Do you have a bank account with the same company as the credit card? If so tel them you want it credited to your bank account - that's what I did and it worked - eventually!

I might have to try that - in the same situation with one of my cards, Â£12.73 in credit and I haven't got round to closing the account and getting it back yet.

I've claimed back all my charges for the last 6 years though from various places - took Â£5,500 from Natwest last year. That was so satisfying.
