you can either do an apple jelly with chilli bits in - nice with cold meats etc

or a tomato based one - ie a thick tomato sauce.. with chillies




or you can stuff them with cream cheese, bread crumb them and fry them... om nom

it is a huge cylinder, but the set up is the reverse of your usual cylinder tanks, instead of the coil heating the water - the water heats the coil. we are now the proud owners of a large thermal store, and the rayburn is heating it as we speak. all part of *the big plan*, next stop (when funds allow) the solar tubes. its been a long slow process, mostly down to lack of funds and time, but we are finally getting there. well - this stage anyway...

yep, i braise red cabbage - my recipe is loosely based on Delias - it's available online. brown sugar and malt vinegar here. no chicken stock

it freezes perfectly and is really nice with turkey at thingymas

I'd say definitely go with the advice of a good sweep.

ours lit a smoke pellet and we all went outside to look. and smoke came out of all 4 pots... which means there is a breach somewhere. so we had a liner.

just finished making a second batch of plum sauce (well we have the ducks in the freezer..and the glut of plums)

nah not too late - we only got ours a week or so ago - they are 11 weeks old now tho

last year we had them about the same age at the same time and came in around the 18 lb mark by November

mine didn't climb this year either. my parents also bought T&M borlotti that also failed to climb this year. i must get around to writing and complaining.

to freeze, just beat the eggs and put in a box and freeze

when they thaw.. they look terrible.. but carry on anyway and it seems to work out just fine. lovely cakesand quiches.. still better than shop eggs
