its the first time we have had chicks hatch here, and we didnt use an incubator, just one very broody hen! so far 3 of the 7 have hatched! just wating on the others to join them!!

Congratulations! What adorable pictures too

When I was at primary school (long time ago!) there was an incubator in one classroom every Spring and I would spend every breaktime & lunchtime sitting waiting patiently for them to hatch

We have a broody Black Rock sitting on 11 Sasso eggs atm. 9 days to go....

mother hen is...but as for the chicks (we now have 5) we will have to wait and see, as the hen kept nicking everyone else's eggs!!
