Hi ive just had the sheep sheared - on our ram its his first coat so the fleece is excellent to have a play around with.
Hopefully this is in the right section but i wanted to make wool from the fleece - how do i go about cleaning/drying it?
At the moment the fleece is on the ground and thats not very good for it i know and im kinda stuck on what to clean it with

any help would be excellent - thanks x

Don't keep shep myself but this article appears to cover your query - are you going to spin you own wool?

pull off any really pooey bits then wrap the rest up in cloth.. an old sheet, duvet cover, and stash in the shed or somewhere, off the ground.
this gives you some breathng space. Lots of people reckon fleece is best stored 'in the grease' so you dont have to clean it yet.

there are lots differing opinions on how to wash after ths.. google and choose one..
We use hot water, small bowl, small chunk of fleece, washing soda and a dash of washing up liquid, very little agitation (or you make felt)
then spin in an old pillow case usig the spin cycle of washing machine. then dry on a rack.
