My lovely husband has finally agreed to me having a couple of hens for eggs which is wonderful, and he is even building them a chicken tractor so the idea is that they will weed the various areas of our garden. I need some info, ideas of good books to read? Anything really!

I like "The Chook Book" by Jackie French, and Linda Woodrow's Permaculture book, the permaculture home garden, I think it's called.

We've just fenced our wee girls into the orchard, so we now have a poo free back yard! Also I just bought one of these
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Business-farmi ... 681906.htm which I'm hoping will save us from feeding the entire Cambridge sparrow population!
I'm sure you'll love having them - esp the lovely free range eggs!

Hey, we got one of those, too! After about 2 weeks, most of the chooks have the idea, and those that don't. or are too lazy, just wait for someone else to do it, and steal it off them....
