Have I been hacked?

Just tried to log onto ebay and instead of my name there was a markmook10 in the user name box. No one has been near my computer except me, I also noticed that my yahoo email had been sent to subscribe to some other site that I had not subscribe to.
Does this mean I have been hacked? What can I do to stop it? Do I need to look for any spyware or anything?
I run a mac using osx.
I am reluctant to update the main site until I know that I am not inidvertantly giving access to someone else.

Don't know anything about Macs (and precious little about PCs) but presumably it stores log-in information to make it easy for you to log in to different sites. If so, then it sounds like this has been tampered with somehow - maybe some spyware, or other intrusive program has been packeaged with something you have installed recently. Is there a Mac version of AdAware (for example), which checks for this sort of thing?
I think I'd be tempted to seek further advice from a specialist help forum - Mac World has some
here or Google will probably find some others.
Interestingly, Googling for 'markmook' finds
someone on a forum using a Mac in Bath - are you sure you haven't got friends playing tricks with you?

No I am just an idiot, my mate mark used my computer ages ago which must have been the last time I used ebay. Ah well means that I have done a bit more securing so can't be all bad.
