You're right to give it time before you name them, ours suggested names to us after a couple of weeks. The bad one is always the first to get named (like the back row at school).

I named my 3 the first day, but I spent a lot of that day in the chicken shed with them! In fact those names turned out to be just right for them.

Any of you watch Little Britain? There is a character called Emily who is a transvestite who keeps saying in a high pitched shrill voice "I'm a Lady!". That character is my hen called Lady!

Except she's the other way round and tries to crow like a rooster.
