My father in law had a stroke just over 12 months ago and I have taken over the carers role for him and wife ... well he has a bit of garden that I helped out with a little last year as he wanted to prove to himself that he was back to normal ... but the dear old thing has admitted defeat ...

Well I got some seed potato the other day and popped some into the few containers that I can grow in the yard we have ... thinking about what to do with the spares when I dropped on me ... plant them in his garden, and a few other things ... its not very big but it already been dug for a few years so that sorted out the real hard work no really nasty overgrown bits to deal with as such. I asked him today and they both liked the idea ... so while I will be doing most of the graft, he can potter and keep weed freeish aid with watering, enjoy the harvest and its secure ...

thats great - he can feel nlike he is still having his usual life without the hard graft a garden can be. It is strange how we return to a child like state in old age, needing to feel independent, but requiring the guiding hand of an able body.
Good for you - i bet you are doing a great job.
