Well done Prince Charles.

He talks sense that guy, alot of people put him down. I am no royalist but i have alot of respect for him as a person.

I agree.

There are allot of problems with the concept and practice of a monarchy, but Charles is certianly starting to earn my respect by pushing this agenda. Especially as it seems that few others in the public sphere do so.

He has always been into this sort of thing, problem is is that every time he says anything he usually gets ridiculed by the media, and everyone goes away with the fact that he is a toofy nose nutter, with far too much wealth and is sponges off the styate, which in a way is true in some ways, but that has got nothing to do with the environmental issues he tries to bring into the public eye, which is a shame as the real issue gets lost in the media slating. and another thing at least he has britains and the worlds interest at heart, which is more than you can say for the big business people running the planet now, or the media who are just interested in sensationalisation, as well the money from these big business people give them in one form or another, in order to keep us all stupid and confused so they can carry on fleecing us.

I just hope he didn't get into a private plane to fly home after his speech... He's got the right ideas, but he's been brought up with money (not his fault!), and a lot of people find these kinds of habits hard to ditch.

He's a good bloke - got lumbered with one of the crappiest jobs going, and is doing his best to do some good by using his position
I'd also like to go off at a bit of a tangent, and remark that I also reckon his dear lady wife is ok too - she may not be a model girl, but from all accounts is a good down-to-earth lady with one heck of a sense of humour who was subjected to the most appalling attacks because she wasn't an obvious "looker"..........
I notice that he recently made an "appearance" at the Bali climate conference in "virtual" form by satellite link - would that everyone else been as sensible!

true, but then again he could just ignore it and just enjoy himself like the others of his class if he chose to.

Good on him! And his interest is of very long standing; I remember when he visited "us" (the town I lived in in Germany back then) to look at the compost plant - the very first commercial one in Europe, I think. That was in the 80s (or early 90s? - it's so long ago...).

seems a good bloke - and the Mrs is a real nice woman too.
He stands up for his views which the media generally don't like - seems to me that he's nobody's puppet which has to be a good thing, just hope his lads equip themselves as well given the constraints they all have to work under.

I confess to having little time for the Windsors in general, but for Chuckie, credit were credit is due. I do like it when he upsets people to point where they bleat on about how royalty should stay out of politics. Frankly, if you're going to have royals they should earn their keep, speak their minds and annoy the politicos. At least the royals can always get a platform from which to spout, which is more than most of us can achieve.
