my friend gave me 3 free 45gallon water butts, i put them along side my shed and then planted a willow hedge in front of them to grow and conceal them over the year (they are a horrid blue) but who cares there free i interlinked them with the existing butts as one fills to capacity it flows into the next one and so on.
i was going to take a pic but my card reader is playing up i'll try again later

This is just what I am after to grow carrots in - apparently it will get around the carrot fly problem that I have suffered previously.
Apart from hanging on to stumble across one, can anyone suggest the best place to find / buy one (preferably second-hand). Am looking on local Freecycle.

you can try at some of the weigh and save shops they sometimes sell off the old colour stained ones.
