This is slightly cheeky... because I'll be using at as research for uni, so I hope no-one minds... but, it could also be a fun activity for those with children/grandchildren!
101 uses... or ways to make sound from glass bottles?

2. tapping

3 Put some rice/lentils or something in it, put the lid on and shake it.
(Just a wee point of H&S - is it ok to use glass bottles with kids?)
4 Fill it up with beer or wine - drink (lots of) it - and sing using bottle as microphone!

7. Attach bottles to string (probably easiest with Grolsch bottles - they've got holes in the neck already). Let them bang together a'la those little bells.
8. Fill grolsch bottles with something fizzy, shake and then pop the top for popping noise and fizzing noise (followed, if you're a good shot, by shout!) BE VERY CAREFUL DOING THIS - THE TOPS CAN FLY OFF!!!!
Can't think of anything else now..the roll seems to have run out.

Ooooh. Good one.
I wonder what would happen if you used the bottle as a variable bridge for a variable vibrating string.

ala Candy flip a band from the late 80's early 90's who covered strawberry fields.
11. Cut the bottom off (I think you can do this with cotton wrapped around it and burning it or something. then tap it on a firegrate or whatever, so the sound echos from the new hole up out the little hole.
