during my incarceration in hospital, one of the few saviours of my sanity was the free radio channel that pumped out Radio4/World Service 24/7................... :cooldude:
One of the last programmes I listened to before being let out was this........
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/news/inbusi ... ness.shtml
- for me, very interesting - a really good explanation of the German system that has put them way out there in the lead for renewables - best of all, that squirming eejit Wickes gets a really good roasting - and someone says loud and clear "there is a cadre in government doing it's best to stifle renewables, so that nukes can flourish"................
In the meantime - guess what? - permissions granted for wholesale development of nuclear power....................all to be built close to the sea for cooling water.........(ain't they heard of surges?).............. :geek:
And the "great and good" just "forget" things, apparently with complete immunity....... (I'd suggest we all start "doing a Hain") - ermn sorry , overlooked my poll tax, I'm an awfully nice chap doing a great job, so that's all right isn't it?
Resign you arrogant b*stard! :dave:

You certainly haven't lost you sense of humour - good to see you back in full swing!

I hadn't heard of that solar power station yet - how did Britain manage not to build this, seeing that it's the biggest in the world? Usually that's a tag they like to fix onto anything that's built here... Biggest wind farm etc...

welcome back Martin-  back like a whirlwind with all guns blazing eh? well what more (or less) would we expect

I'm still waiting for a vat allowance against any sort of non carbon based home heat / energy system

still waiting -------- waiting -------- waiting -------- waiting -------- waiting -------- waiting -------- waiting -------- waiting

I may be even worse than before..........
Having been without my lady nicotine for nearly a month, and in view of the type of illness, ~I've decided that restarting smoking is a pretty daft thing to do (oxygenation and all that........) - with my usual propensity for reacting badly to things, they tried a nicotine patches on me in hospital to which I responded by bouncing off the walls bigtime........so it's cold turkey! :geek:

hmmm I stopped twice - once when I was pregnant (thats how I guessed I might be) and once after surgery and a day 'out' under anaesthetic - neither of which I'd really like to repeat (errm too old for the first one)

must try giving up again some day
