If its not one thing its another!
Daisy our angora, refuses to get up now!!...begining to thing the animals are going on strike!
She was limping badly after a few bouts with rita...so we seperated her in her own pen and called the vet who said its just badly bruised hip...gave her some pain killer and me some powder for her....and she is ok otherwise.....today however...she wont move! even for food....will stand on her back two legs but not her front two!
Any ideas?

She could just be in alot of pain with the bruising, i should think the vet checked it wasnt dislocated, best take her her food to her , some hay and water, and keep giving her the painkillers, the main thing is that she keeps her strenghth up , especially in this temperature,

thanks SH....she is eating ok...and havent put her in the paddock as its all frozen...will just keep an eye on her i guess

vet was here two days ago...thought maybe its the pain killers ...as i have just been out there and daisy has a touch of the runns, has been sick...and is now coughing.... am going to ring the vet again! seems never ending

vets been back out(different girl)......aparently the pain killers were too strong for daisy and were for horses!!! she now has had a vit B jab and another one thats for sheep, also, I have been given a some lovely er stuff to give daisy (looks like milk of magnesia!!) 3 times a day instead!! she is not allowed normal grains for a couple of days and only allowed hay water for a couple of days!! poor daisy

Blimey, a horse, its a good job you called her out, hope she is better soon.

i know...poor daisy....and she is half the size of rita! will let you know how she gets on...fingers crossed she will be fine now

Gee kimmie, sorry to hear about your goat. Lucky you did call the vet back (was it from the same surgery? should think they need to address the bill if that is the case as it was the result of incorrect medicine that caused the secondary issue).

Anyway, more important that she recovers. Good luck.
