Ds2 is 81/2 months now

and is still refusing to take a bottle. Ds1 used to only seem to like a certain brand, so we tried it, but no success. It is less of a prob now he only gets the boob at night, but I worry about him getting enough fluids in the day (he is a bit of a numpty at using bottles and cups with regard to forgetting to swallow). I wondered which is the least evil formula? I have tried hipp organic, and cow and gate organic, with no success. How evil are sma, milupa and cow and gate?

Have you tried boob milk in a bottle? the next thing I would try is an normal cup (similar muscles used as takeing from the breast), then a sipper cup.
Does he take any water? E has always been pretty good at drinking water from a cup (won't drink anything else from a cup though

)
SMA has had some really bad write ups, I can't remember where now, but it was not good. I'd google it and look in ethical consumer web-site.
We used Aptimel for quite a while as it was the closest to breats milk (having long-chain something-or-other in it) tastes more like breast milk too, yes
I did a taste test
We are now on Hipp organic and I never liked using non-organic
Another thing that I'd like to share is that babies under 2 regulate their own intake of food and liquid, if he needed it he would let you know. If his stools are a suitable consistency (like penut butter) then I wouldn't worry. He might be getting enough liquids from his diet.
HTH, Good luck

I used SMA because J would drink it. Then onto cows milk which he still loves. However, if you want to stop breast feeding, then I suggest you just stop and offer water, milk etc and little one will definitely drink once they realise that the boob isn't on offer anymore.
J was on aptimil first off (he was very early) but didn't like it and kept throwing it up. So the hospital changed him to SMA.
