I need to know what to do with about 300 slicker pads/ice blocks (don't know what else they're called... the flat blue ice rectangles that you put in the freezer to re-use in chilly bins). They came in some very large polystyrene containers (which were used for the importation of vaccines). Don't want to throw them away, but can't possibly use that many. We've donated about half of them to various local charitable organisations, but have already flooded the "market" with them.

Any other ideas?

Cheers

2. When you defrost the freezer put as many as possible in an esky with your frozen food to keep it frozen.

3. Put in esky for intended use i.e. to keep food and drink cool!

4. Keep in freezer if freezer isn't very full to pad it out.

Errrr.

I have a freezer/cupboard full of the things!

5. On hot days pop one under the cats food to stop it getting smelly. If I go away for the weekend, I use a petfeeder which releases the food over a period of time. It has one of these things that sits under it to keep the food fresh.

6. On a hot night, wrap them up in a tea towel and use as a cold water bottle!

Where abouts in NZ are you? I would take a load off your hands - we are setting up a campsite with small shop and would happily fleece erm sell them to the tourists. Any little helps when you are starting a business from scratch.

What about sending them to the local beauty salon? They're marvellous after a wax.

get a small plastic box which you can hold with your hands cupped around it.
fill it 3/4 full with left over custard or instant whip
place your hands in some decent winter gloves, pick up a block in each hand and wrap around the plastic conatiner.
shake for 30 mins. result? sore arms and sloppy ice cream.
