I've just discovered how easy it is to make baby clothes. I'm not going to go all out and only ever dress sophie in stuff made by me, nor am I going to give up my charity shop bargain hunts but I am so proud of this dress.



I'm especially proud of the smocking. it took me days lol! Also, it's a good bit of recycling. this started life as a pair of curtains in the bottom of a jumble sale.

I suppose my housework did suffer for a few days (once i get going I'm like a dog with a bone) but we're back on track now!

Its beautiful, I found a duvet cover exactly the same pattern in a charity shop but in blue andlilac and my mother has made my daughter a dress if I can find a piccy I will post it

Smocking is such hard work and it has come out beautifully
