missing our chickens & ducks.!

we did have about 20 bantum chicks and 2 ducks(twice),and they were an absolute delight as pets,except of course they love to eat all the greenery. 
dispite being in a fairly large,secure enclosure,both times they were all stolen.
i now give up on keeping chickens & ducks,but it saddens me that we live in world where stealing seems the norm.
