I'm also going to have to withdraw the offer of sending it on - i accidentally dunked the remote in a cup of tes - it appears remote+tea= No Remote Control anymore!

Don't know how much energy it saved. It might be useful if you've got a number of appliances around a room that are regularly left on standby - then you can just whirl around the room pressing buttons to turn everything off.

I think the green thing was a gimmick personally. i don't think it will have saved that much energy at all.

I've had no further reply from them. As far as I can tell this equipment should be covered by WEEE, I certainly can't find any specific exemption. The product is a basically sound piece of simple home automation hardware. It's the marketing that I object to.
