Here the northern green gathering website
http://www.nggonline.org.uk/
my friend claire worked at it last year and there were notices around the stewarding caravan at the big green gathering asking people to volunteer to steward the northern big green gathering .
I would have gone but was already stewarding at beautiful days in devon so couldnt .
If people are in the north especially its a event that needs support
"Northern Green Gathering is an annual 4 day camping event held in Yorkshire. It is focused around sustainable living and green campaigns. The event has been running since 1999, with a couple of years off from 2003-2005.
The camp is powered entirely by sustainable means - wind turbines and solar panels - and we try to ensure minimal impact in all that we do. So we recycle everything that we can, and on-site catering is organic as far as possible.
People are encouraged to travel to the camp by public transport, or to car share if the bus or train isn't possible. When our site has been away from public transport hubs, we have provided a minibus shuttle service.
Northern Green Gathering is run entirely by volunteers. We are always happy to welcome new people to the team. "
