Isn't it funny how the whole place grinds to a standstill for a few inches of snow...

The boys are looking forward to a revised curriculum today. I think it'll be a crash course in the structure and stability of snowmen followed by snow-angel art!

I remember deciding to make an igloo one year with Dave. We pretty much cleared the whole front and back garden of snow. We used a bread tin to make the bricks. We made it and it lasted for quite a while. I can't remember if we managed to make a roof for it in the end. Perhaps a trip to abington park is in order, I wonder if it will be full of people on sledges like it used to be.

Oooh an igloo sounds like great fun. I'll pass that tip on to C and see what he comes up with :)

We used to make igloos by piling up loads of snow and packing it as much as we could and then digging it out. I remember being in one and it was surprisingly warm!!!
Apparently in the winter of '47 my dad and his mate made an igloo by using a washing up bowl as a mould for the bricks - just a suggestion.
We have no snow  so that means I still have to go to work tomorrow!!! On a plus note at least Chris can get out despite his arthritis playing up with the cold and wet!
