Mobile pig pen

We have kept our pigs Doris and Tilly in a mobile pig pen.
The pen is made of six large steel secuity doors that we got from the charity shop, bolted together. John then welded wheel hubs onto the sides, with a tow bar on the front..looks a bit like a caravan with no bottom in it. We then covered the top with a tarpaulin that can be rolled backwards or forwards depending on the weather. We call it camping couchon!
Every couple of days we move them onto new pasture. Unfortunatley we are not able to let them free range, so this is a happy compromise.
We can recommend this method wholeheartadly. Our Mayor brought a friend of his to see them..this chap is a bit of a pig expert and was impressed with how fit and well they looked.

Don't see why you couldn't use it for sheep. Think you'd have to have a top on it though, aside from the tarpaulin that is --little buggers can jump quite high--you'd be lucky to see a pig with two feet off the ground at the same time!!
