An 'eggciting' week

Hi, I have my first hens, a wee group of 5, two rhode island reds, 2 cream legbars and one silkie - they are just a joy to watch, hope to get some eggs in a month or so, they are not pol just yet - in the meantime the jack russell is feeling very put out and we are having to be very firm with him. I will get a photo of my hens on tomorrow (whilst skiving at work). I am also getting an allotment, just off now to post on the allotment section, yippee!
Chickens are marvellous creatures to have around, a source of much facination and amusement. I've had chooks for two years now and I still love 'em. Be prepared for them to get right under your skin and leave footprints all over your heart.
