Green scum on Sloe Brandy??

Hello

Wondering if anyone can help..

I have been steeping sloes in Brandy for, well, I cannot actually remember haha.. anywhere from 6-10 months I would say. (Recently had a baby, so major baby brain!!)

There is a ring of green, scummy stuff around the top of the liquid in the kilner jar. Any ideas what this is? Is it ruined? Any tips on how to rack it?

Many thanks

To be honest, I couldn't venture an educated guess without pictures. Were some of the sloes exposed to air i.e. not fully submerged in the brandy?

Green is not generally a good colour in these things, it sounds like ait might be mould.

I'd chuck it unless someone can tell you for certain that it's OK.
