WE have a council that mandates retail shopping into the town centre (no retail in the new Millenian Ghettos) The ovrall result is that shop space is very limited, rents are very high and the only ones that can afford to be there are the Bogan shops, take wayfoods and bling bazaars - high cash turnover businesses.

Here the rents (and rates) stay high - despite the fact that loads of premises are empty, and often have been for a very long time... Doesn't make sense!
