Been making soft cheese for a while and now want to try hard, and crushing fruit for wine, could anyone recommend me a cheese/ fruit press that they have used, we are getting one for Christmas? Cheers, John.

I have one of these

Had it for many years, I also bought the choppy bucket, it has an attachment for the electric drill, I found that when you pressed grapes, you also had to chop them first, but this little press if very hygenic, we just screwed it down to the workmate and attached a piece of tubing to the outlet and then you can easily direct the juice into a jug or bucket. This is very tidy compared to the posh wooden presses I have used and is easily washed and cleaned.

Thanks for the advice, we bought one, it was on special offer at £110 delivered (normally £130), it arrived this week and looks like a well built piece that will last a lifetime.
