Toddler with asthma, natural remedies wanted?

Hi, I'm new to the site so sorry if there is a thread already. My 18 month old has been given inhalers and told he might always need them, I was wondering if anyone knew of a more natural remedy or any natural things that can help him. I'm willing to give anything a go as I'm not keen on him relying on inhalers forever. Thanks in advance
