Is this the place to put something about the blog I write or more for writing articles particularly for this site?
It isn't a blog which tells people how to do anything, just about my move, about a year ago, from Manchester to the edge of the Lincolnshire fens, so about landscape, place, connection etc, as well as some about what we are doing in the garden and kitchen.

Re: My blog?
Thank you, bonnie. I went to have a look at yours only to find your post from last year abut giving up the smallholding. It made interesting reading. We are older, fifties and sixties, and had in the past thought of something smallholding-ish when making a move to the country. But in the end have settled for a house in a village with a big garden - only about the same 1/8 acre or so we had on two allotments back in Manchester, but think it is enough to grow most of our fruit and veg, as we did n allotments, and keep chickens. Still feels like a compromise sometimes when seeing other people's smallholdings and animals, but I think it was probably the right decision for us, given other commitments like small grandchildren growing up in inner city poverty at one end of the country, elderly parents in other directions and also, as you discuss, the issue of being able to travel a bit.
We too have a campervan - probably a bit smaller and no loo - it's the only vehicle we've owned that I really love!
If you and your van are ever over this side of the country, come and say hello. We're on the way to Norfolk, nowhere else much.

Re: My blog?
I've bookmarked it for later. Although we moved rather further I still like to read of others' experiences wherever they go, if it is relevent to us.

Re: My blog?
You have moved further away, but it's interesting to read your first posts written when you were just about to go. I'm just coming up to a year this week since I started the blog and next week will be a year since we moved. So I've been looking at my posts written then at the point you were in April/May, on the verge of new life.
Hope it all works out for you. Ours a less big adventure, but still was a big jump for us to get here.
