We are starting to harvest our big toms now too. The cherries have been productive for a few weeks now.
I make pasatta from them to jar for the winter.

Chop some garlic and add it to a big pot with olive oil. Fry lightly. Add a big bunch of fresh basil. Then add your chopped tomatoes. Reduce down till all the tomatoes are brake down and it starts to go thicker. Season to taste. Then pass through a seive and press eveything through with the back of a spoon. Put into clean jars, put the lids on and place in a water bath for 25 min. Take them out and leave to rest until cool. Store in a cold, dark place and use within a year. You can interchange the herbs for different flavours.

Hi,

Your tomatoes look delicious, I have 5 plants with lots of tomatoes on now, ready to ripen. If I have any left over I make tomato sauce Jamie Oliver style

Tomatoes this year in my garden are the best that I have ever grown. It has been sunny, hot, and very severe drought conditions, but I have watered each plant about every five days of so, using the Magic Water Wand method. There are almost as many tomatoes remaining on the plants that have been picked to date.
