It's not really surprising. The thermophilic bacteria found in your faeces are theorised to be ancestors of the oldest living organisms on the planet and I can well believe it.
And what are genes anyway? Parasites, using bodies as hosts?

I just hope that we can all stay on the WOW factor to this information rather than the YUCK. When did we stop enjoying learning new things (bed bugs for instance) and not marvel in the knowledge. My favourite term is symbiotic host. x

Mr. QB is a biologist and says that the bacteria in our bodies weighs more then our bodies! Now I knew my feet were a bit grim but that's gross!
