Are you taking the pi$$?

Urine! Its great. I pee in a bucket and use the contents in the chickens scatching pen, as a tonic for strugling plants and as a kick start for newly transplanted plants
I am a bloke so peeing in a bucket is no problem, but the wife is against the idea. Any tips from ladies who use the potty?
Any other uses for wee?

I do also use wee for my plants (when my son goes in his potty) and I've nothing against fosters but for some reason this really made me laugh

Somebody told me recently that Fosters isn't available in Australia and it's all a big advertising scam ?

Liquid gold ... Nitrogen booster, compost accelerator and fox/cat deterrent (read somewhere it has to be from a meat eating male for the last one).

The thought of a hefty ox of a great meat ateing male romping about urinating everywhere would deter me from entering the premises too!

I am no expert in this field myself, but appear to have stumbled upon a mine of wee related information. Splendid. Do you need to let the wee stand for any amount of time or could you (or a handy husband / boy child, more likely) wee straight onto the compost heap?? Does fresh wee and stale wee have different uses in the garden? I know stale wee was once widely used as a laundry agent...

Yes I think the longer it stands the more amonia it develops. I knew someone used to keep it for a week and throw it on his spuds.

Urine was used as a mordant in wool cloth to fix the dye. That's why traditional tweed smells vaguely of Pi$$ if you get caught in the rain whilst wearing it!
As for ladies....Not as good quality for the compost heap, But if you want to join in, try one of these:

I have heard that a ladies first evacuation of the day is the most nutricious (well thats what the wife says

)
I was not aware of the vermin/cat repulsive properties...bonus
At present I have filled a bucket with chainsaw shavings and I'm weeing on that. This experiment is to see if I can balance the C:N and result in swift breakdown of the wood
I have also in the past used a bale of straw as a privvy to good effect
KEEP PI$$ING
