learning resources for fruit tree pruning

free online links to tutorials that people have found handy would be good but i would also be interested in book recommendations.

See previous threads re RHS stuff. Small green RHS guide to Top Fruit is really all you need. PM me if you cant find one(It wont help you if your pruning olives out there,if you are ask the locals). BW

basically, can't find this rhs guide. been watching stephen hayes on youtube, very good. where is this rhs guide? sounds interesting. thanks!

as regards olives. YES, we have 3 massive trees. unproductive, but they are in this area. they are in danger of breaking every snow fall we have and we have a lot forecast for this week again. All our trees were tended by my father in law until his death this winter and we have a lot of mature trees, you name it, and i think a lot of them would benefit from a change in strategy to help productivity and fruit health. not planning on spraying them anymore as they have been in the past and i understand i need to optimise tree shape to combat nasties.

And I can't recommend their books highly enough! Excellent resource.....Jeepers! I've just been on amazon to track the books down! £26 for a new copy! I'm sure you could get a second hand copy for a lot less. I have an ancient set from about 20 years ago and I still refer to them regularly. So on that basis I guess they're worth buying if you can afford them. Quick search:
