1 small step!

I've had 1/2 an allotment for 2 years now. I've got all my veg beds in production 16 for rotational veg and 1 for asparagus. Also got compost bin, leaf mould cage and a trained cherry tree.

The guy next to me who used to own the whole plot is packing up! Looks like I'm going to be doubling my work soon. Time to start planning.

Ideas

Shed with gutter
Greenhouse with gutter
Water butts
Wildlife pond (fed with overflow from above)
Wildflower meadow seed mix
Raised bed for salad + herbs
Another fruit tree
Strawberry bed
Globe artichoke bed
Bed for cut or dried flowers

Generally I'm looking for lower maintenance things although more veg beds would come in handy and save me having to squeeze two crops into one bed each year.

That's great, but .... small step??? That's one ambitious small step :-)

Nah - that's just a planning step  It becomes a stride when the labour begins.

I'm impressed that you can get 16 beds on half an allotment! If they are rather small, the additional space might allow bigger beds for onions and outdoor tomatoes, as you can just never have enough.
Wonderful thing to be doing over the new year - planning for the additional space. Good luck

Does it do tricks?

Sorry, I'll shut up now.

What good news about the allotment. Enjoy it.
